Unfortunately we could not locate the table you're looking for.

safety-first ImageAt Cohn Insurance Agency, we are very concerned with the safety of our clients, so we wanted to give you some information that we have been gathering to help you keep you and your family safe.

The National Safety Council (NSC) website has information on all forms of safety, including safety in homes, communities, work, on the road, etc. Their mission is to save lives by preventing injuries and deaths through leadership, research, education, and advocacy.

If you ever need information on safety, their website is: http://www.nsc.org. They have researchers and statisticians working to keep us up to date on the best ways to keep safe, and their website is full of useful information.

You can download their Home Fire Safety Checklist here.

One of their articles that caught our attention was: “What Are the Odds of Dying From…” The article goes on to say, “Are you more likely to be killed in a car crash or shot to death by an assailant? Is it really that rare to be struck by lightning?” So, they put together the Odds of Dying chart:

Source: National Safety Council estimates based on data from National Center for Health Statistics–Mortality Data for 2013, as compiled from data provided by the 57 vital statistics jurisdictions through the Vital Statistics Cooperative Program. Deaths are classified on the basis of the 10th revision of the World Health Organization’s The International Classification of Diseases (ICD). For additional mortality figures, and estimated one-year and lifetime odds, see Injury Facts® 2016 Edition, pages 40-43.

The complete article can be found at http://www.nsc.org/learn/safety-knowledge/Pages/injury-facts-chart.aspx

Everyone loves Infographics – well, almost everyone.  Here is one the NSC asked us to share. You can download a .pdf file of it here.

All the insurance companies we represent are very concerned with your safety.  In “Germania Today,” Winter 2015, magazine, Germania had a very good article on “33 Ways to be More Careful This Season.” The article covered driving safety, parking safety, safety at ATMs, shopping, secure online shopping, and safety at home.
